Australia are well in control after day two of the third Test at Old Trafford, declaring 7-527 and taking two wickets late on day two.

Morning session
Clarke resumed on 125, Smith on 70, 3-303. 200 partnership, a record for Old Trafford Tests. Smith holed out to Swann. Warner show arrived and went, taking with him the last review of the innings. Aus 5-392

Afternoon session
Clarke 168, Haddin 18. Broad knocked over Clarke. Siddle got bowled for 1 attacking. Mitchell Starc joined Haddin, who got a 50, and took to the England bowlers taking the Aussies past 500 and getting his own quickfire 50. Aus 7-507

Evening session
Aussies added 20 more runs in four overs before declaring 7-527. Swann with 5 wickets. Root edged Siddle to Haddin while Bresnan didn't edge one, was given but decided reviews could be left for the batsmen. Eng 2-52
