Monday’s NRL clash between the Gold Coast Titans and North Queensland Cowboys was largely uneventful – that is apart from the three-foot long brown snake, which slithered across the turf of the south-eastern corner of Cbus Super Stadium.

It’s not everyday that you see a brown at an NRL game and the slippery customer made quite the scene as he sent fans scurrying from their seats on his way to the stand.

Staff cordoned off the area and opened the corner once they figured out it was safe (he went into a water pipe).

The match continued without interruption, the Titans winning 13-12.
