She might not be able to sing live but pop princess Cheryl Cole is the top female celebrity men and women would holiday with, according to the TNT Travel Show Annual Travel Survey.
The survey, released to coincide with Saturday’s TNT Travel Show at the Ibis Hotel in Earl’s Court, also named Twitter giant and intellectual funnyman Stephen Fry as the man most people wanted to holiday with.
Meanwhile, loud-mouthed love rat Katie Price (aka Jordan) is the female celeb people would least likely to go away with.
And it seems holidaymakers aren’t the bullied types apparently, evidenced by British PM Gordon Brown coming bottom of the men’s category.
Holiday romance
Respondents weren’t exactly retiring types: 35 per cent of people would consider cheating on a partner whilst on holiday (although presumably not with Gordo or Jordan).
Santorini in Greece knocked Paris off the top spot as the no. 1 location for a wedding proposal and the Frogs were dealt another blow with Paris named as the worst place for a wedding proposal with 32 per cent voting it their least ideal spot (gotta get original fellas!)
The average number of holiday romances people experience in a lifetime is three and only 7 per cent of people rated a holiday romance as the most important aspect of a memorable holiday.
People looking for love should consider heading Down Under as Australia was named the world’s most up for it nation, with 28 per cent of the vote
Must-have holiday essentials
Beauty took a battering in the holiday essentials section with the iPhone seeing out deodorant and hair straighteners.
The Black Eyed Peas is the most listened-to artist or group for holiday-makers while Barack Obama’s Dreams from My Father is the nation’s first choice holiday read with 30 per cent of the vote.
Paris Hilton’s Confessions of an Heiress is the least popular choice with only 4 per cent choosing it.
It seems Paris in any form just couldn’t get a break this year.
