Slap bang in the middle of the hustle and bustle that is Ho Chi Minh City (that’s HCMC to travel folk), Park Hyatt Saigon is one of the more swanky choices for a stay in the city.
Overview Based in Lam Son Square, this five-star pad boasts contemporary Vietnamese design.
There are plenty of dining options nearby, including everything from the hotel’s own set of super eateries (try Square One for Vietnamese and Western dishes) to street food in the surrounding area for the more adventurous gastronomist.
Wow factor The pool area comes complete with a mini-waterfall, sun loungers so comfy you could sleep on them and a pool bar. If you’re not careful you’ll spend your entire holiday here rather than looking around HCMC.
Rooms Luxuriously decorated, with expansive double beds so big you could fit an entire tour bus of sightseers in them (note: this might be a slight exaggeration). The powerful rain showers are absolutely heavenly, too.
Bill please Double rooms start from £167pn.
