For too long Glasgow has languished in the shadow of Edinburgh as Scotland’s main urban draw. And while it will never be as easy on the eye as the capital, recent regenerative programs have seen Glasgow shed its rough and depressive reputation to emerge as a dynamic, cultured city in its own right. Indeed, Glasgow’s live music scene puts Edinburgh’s in the shade. But comparisons aside, Scotland’s second city has a lot to offer anyone venturing north of Hadrian’s Wall.
