Stay at home at your risk this Halloween. It’s the spookiest night of the year, so you could be visited by all sorts of evil beings or horrifying sights. And we’re not referring to supernatural ones, we’re speaking about the roaming children.

The truth about Halloween here in the UK is that any terrifying noises coming from your back garden are most likely coming from some kid throwing eggs and flour at your door, while wearing some kind of crazy dress.

It’s enough to send shivers down your spine. So don’t take any risks, pack up your wooden stake, garlic necklace and head to the original place of horror -  Transylvania instead:

Halloween is special, the Gothic fairy-tale castle Bran in Transylvania is often associated with Prince Vlad Tepes, the inspiration behind Bram Stoker’s Dracula.

Vlad was known for torturing and killing his enemies using dismemberment, blinding, strangulation, scorching, exposure, cutting off body parts, maiming, scalping, skinning, feeding to animals, and boiling alive. His favourite means of execution was impalement. Thousands were impaled at a time, creating forests of the dead.

In more recent times visitors flock to Transylvania to celebrate Halloween with costume parties, story-telling, and actors playing out Dracula inspired scenes.

Our advice, get away from those food throwing kids and head to Transylvania, the birth place of horror and Halloween:
