The double-decker tour bus was travelling from Bangkok to Roi Et in the north-east of the country and burst into flames after the collision, reports the BBC
It is not yet known how many people were on board, but local media reports that everyone who died had been on the bus according to Thai media
“The truck crossed from the opposite lane of traffic and hit the bus,” said local police officer Lieutenant Colonel Assavathep Janthanari, according to AFP news agency.
Police have arrested the lorry driver, and a police investigation is now under way.
