Fortunately the USA has just that – literally.

Facing a do or die clash with Germany in Group G, footage as emerged of secret weapon Will Ferrell attempting to inspire his nation to glory.

Yep, Papa Burgundy himself has popped up in Brazil, taking to the stage at a bar in Recife and doing his bit to help the cause.

Appearing after a man dressed up as President Theodore Roosevelt, Ferrell entered the stage to chants of ‘U-S-A, U-S-A’ and cracked a joke about Luis Suarez.

“If the game gets close, I will bite the opponents… I will bite every German player if I have to,” he joked.

We’ve read some amazing stats about the USA and this World Cup and they show ‘soccer’ is more popular than ever in the US. They have the most fans in Brazil and record TV audiences – a lot of thanks probably has to go to David Beckham, which means at least England are good at something.
