And with Fifa still debating what, if any, punishment to dish out to Uruguay’s Luis Suarez after he allegedly mistook Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini for dinner, the football-mad mixologists at The Rib Room in London’s Knightsbridge have sunk their teeth into a new cocktail idea: The Suarez.
The vodka cocktail, they say, ‘gives a real kick’ and ‘provides more bite for buck than anything on the football field’ with ingredients like beef bouillon, Worcestershire sauce and fiery Tabasco.
“As an Italian, I feel it’s time for Italy to bite back!” The Rib Room manager, Michele Caggianese says. “Our feisty Suarez cocktail with its strong flavours has a real sting in its tail. Although this won’t make up for Gli Azzuri getting knocked out of the World Cup, it will provide a real kick to those who try it.”
The cocktail costs £16.
