He was rushed to hospital after a friend called the emergency services, and it is suspected that he died of a drugs overdose. According to the BBC, investigators who searched Mr Hoffman’s flat found two small plastic bags and a substance that is believed to be heroin.
Mr Hoffman is survived by his partner Mimi O’Donnell and their three children.
