For her first album Marry Me, Tulsa-born Annie Clark aka St Vincent contributed vocals, guitars, bass, organ, Moog, synths, xylophone, dulcimer and triangle, to name a few. For Actor her instrumentation is no less “multi” and the resultant effects are no less engaging. Trippy textured electro is offset by Clark’s dulcet 1940s film diva vocals, while the playful tunes reveal darker themes of love gone wrong. As dramatic and cinematic as any blockbuster.
