The annual Razzie Awards honour the worst performances in film, and leading the pack of nominations – announced just ahead of last night’s Oscars – with worst film, is Sandler’s cross dressing comedy, Jack & Jill.
At the 32nd Annual Razzie Awards, Sandler has been nominated for both worst actor and worst actress awards for his roles in the film.
He is joined in the worst supporting categories, by Katie Holmes and Al Pacino, who has a cameo in the comedy.
Razzie nominations for worst film also went to New Year’s Eve, Transformers: Dark of the Moon, Bucky Larson: Born To Be A
Star, and the Twiligh Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1.
Actor/comedian Russell Brand, pus Nicholas Cage, Nick Swardson and Taylor Lautner are also up for worst actor Razzies.
Weirdly, Martin Lawrence joins Sadler on the worst actress list for playing a woman in Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son.
The Razzies are normally presented the night before the Academy Awards, however this year organisers have moved the event to
April Fool’s Day to allow more time for voters to cast their ballots.
Only members of The Golden Raspberry Foundation are eligible to vote.
