Album review: Crookers – Tons of Friends

Having made their name remixing other artists’ tunes, Milanese hip-house duo Crookers have put out their own studio LP.

Called Tons Of Friends, it lives up to its name: Kid Cudi, Will.i.Am, Kelis and Roisin Murphy are just some of the artists whose vocals are backdropped by slices of Crookers’ inimitable fidget house.

With 20 tracks it’s enough to try your patience, but a smattering of gems like Put Your Hands On Me makes it worthwhile.
