The business, which has been trading for 15 years, posted the news on its Facebook page.

Speaking to ABC, Janice Knappstein, part-owner of Annie’s Place, cited Tigerair’s decision to pull out of Alice Springs as the main reason for the closure.

“We went down to about 25-30% occupancy rate,” she told ABC’s Nadine Maloney.

“We’re keeping the tour company Mulga’s Adventures going but we just decided that we needed to make a decision with Annie’s Place.”
