A mother and son from the West Bank struggle to fit into rural Illinois after emigrating to America in this topical comedy-drama.

Unfortunately, the film pulls its punches when exploring the immigrant experience in the States and is a tad too sweet-natured to be truly memorable.

Good for: Those who like fish-out-of-water films.
