The Google Doodle pays homage to the legendary children’s cartoonist of the early 1900s, featuring a series of drop-down scenes.
It’s based on the adventures of Winsor McCay’s Little Nemo, an iconic comic strip first drawn in 1905.
In a cute take on this, Google have celebrated the cartoon in an animated strip showing Little Nemo having adventures in Google-Land. He tumbles through clouds, scenes from far-away lands before falling safely back into bed.
McCay was a huge inspiration to Walt Disney and numerous other animators. The Google Doodle celebrates the 107th anniversary of Little Nemo in Slumberland.
