Anni Dewani, 28, was killed tragically during a car jacking on her honeymoon in 2010 in the Gugulethu township near Cape Town.
On Monday Xolile Mngeni was found guilty of her murder and of robbery, according to the Cape Town High Court.
The judge Robert Henney explained that he was certain of Mngeni’s guilt. He said he was “satisfied that the accused has committed the crime of murder”.
Mziwamadoda Qwabe was also involved in the robbery. He pleaded guilty of robbery, murder and kidnap has been jailed for 25 years.
