Rice has been Arsene Wenger’s right hand man since 1996, and has been associated with the club for almost 50 years, joining as a youth team player and going on to turn professional two years later and make more than 500 appearances for the Gunners.
“Pat is a true Arsenal legend and has committed almost his whole life to this Arsenal,” Wenger said of Rice’s departure.
He will be replaced by Steve Bould, who moves up the ladder from Arsenal’s academy, where he has worked since 2001, taking the youth team to the FA Youth Cup in 2009 and to the Premier Academy League Title in 20008 and 2009.
