The mystery paddler made a makeshift raft out of the cover of a hot top, and was snapped rowing his TV across a large body of water.
A fleet of 14 helicopters rescued more than 1,000 people throughout the region, and four people have died since the storm hit on January 30.
“Across Queensland the wild weather has broken a lot of hearts,” Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard said.
