The big lobster or Larry as is known locally amongst Kingston residents, stands at 59 feet tall, 45 feet wide and 50 feet long.

So why the need to build it in the first place? It was intended to attract attention to the restaurant and visitor centre that it dominates over and it works. The tourist complex and gift shop are often swarming with tourists and the restaurant has been given various awards and is said to serve the best seafood in town.
