A planned water fight in Battersea Park could be shut down by police and participants prosecuted.
Yup, your heard us right. They’re banning water pistols.
A Facebook event has been created, inviting water assassins to turn up on July 24.
However, Wandsworth council has issued a warning, saying: “We do not intend to sit idly by and allow the park to be used for a mass water fight.”
Police officers with dogs will patrol the park entrances and stop suspects, who will face up to a £200 fine.
The council’s OTT reaction comes after a similar water fight in Hyde Park resulted in three people being arrested after 1,500 people got involved.
The water fight continued for eight hours and resulted in the closure of Oxford Street to traffic.
Shouldn’t say it, but how fun does that sound?
