In 7 second clip, a girl waves from her car window at a Kodiak bear, who excitedly waves back. It was filmed at an animal park for ex-performing animals that have previously had a working life in TV, films and theme parks.
The Olympic Game Farm in the USA is an organisation who previously worked with Disney on many live action animal films popular in cinemas throughout the 60’s and 70’s (including the film and TV series ‘Grizzly Adams’). The park offers drive through tours and a chance to meet performing animals…and even interact with them.
Kodiak bears are normally vegetarians, but switch to a salmon diet in preparation for harsh winters. In retirement, it seems this old bear is enjoying lazing around giving casual greetings to passersby.
