The law was declared the most ridiculous by a poll conducted 18 – 22 May on London Dungeon social media channels. It was closely followed by the handling salmon in suspicious circumstances act of 1986 and another relating to ways to carry a plank along a pavement 1839.
The London Dungeon celebrated the 800th anniversary of the Magna Carta by taking a look at some of our most ridiculous laws.
Staff from the attraction have been out breaking four of the five most ludicrous laws on Westminster Bridge; salmon handling, plank carrying, carpet beating and kite flying. As far as we know no arrests were made.
Unfortunately there is no public house located on the bridge for them to carry out number one, but perhaps they’ll get to have ago at that one after work tonight.
