Bestival 2010 has kicked off. It’s pretty much the last festie of the summer, which makes us sad. But we’re happy because it looks set to be a blinder.
Dizzee Rascal, The xx, The Flaming Lips, Hot Chip and The Prodigy are all performing at Bestival this year. It’ll be The xx’s first appearance since winning the Mercury Prize this week.
50,000 people are expected at the Isle of Wight event set up by Radio 1 DJ Rob da Bank.
TNT’s Laura is there right there (nope, not jealous at all) and she told us that there’s lots of random fancy dress around (this year’s costume theme is ‘fantasy’) and that the atmosphere is building up.
Apparently there’s no mud on site yet, but the forecast is for a mix of rain and showers (sorry Laura!)
