The interview, allegedly given to gossip magazine, Star U.K., spoke about the baby’s father Jay-Z and the birth, but the singer’s spokesperson said it was “completely made up”.

When asked if the interview was legitimate, Beyonce’s spokesperson replied: “Absolutely not”.

The article reports Beyonce saying: “Security was very tight, but not just for the sake of it, it was for the security of our daughter.”

High security measures at Lenox Hill Hospital during the birth of Blue Ivy were widely criticised.

According to the magazine, the singer said of husband Jay-Z: “He would not have missed it [the birth] for anything. He is a very protective and loyal guy by nature.”

She is also quoted as saying: “Nothing can describe the feeling. You have the instant connection once you know your child is growing inside you, but when you hold it for the first time, the words can’t be found.”

But the editor of Star U.K. insisted the interview was real, saying: “It is not made up or fictitious at all. We bought the interview from a reporter in the U.S. who conducted the interview with Beyonce before the birth.

“The reporter then obtained the ‘top-up’ info after the birth, which we believe to have been signed off by a girl on her LSM team.”
