The Australian line-up was announced tonight and as was heavily rumoured, grunge titans Pearl Jam, Damon Albarn’s reformed Britpop act Blur, and controversial Long Beach rapper Snoop Dogg were all named as headliners on the bill for the first time at Big Day Out.

Although Blur and Pearl Jam are safe-bet crowdpleasers, the volatile, but all-the-same iconic rapper Snoop Dogg (or Lion) is something of a wildcard for the show. Who will show up: the dogg or the lion?
Either way, scores of music-lovers—whether 90’s rap junkies or new-age folk-fans—have quite a show ahead of them.
