The UK may be experiencing a temporary mild spell, but forecasters are predicting a return to extremely cold conditions across the UK as early as Sunday.

And experts are warning it may be even colder than the recent cold snap. The lowest temperature recorded last week (11 Feb) was a seriously Baltic -17.8C in Chesham, Buckinghamshire, while Kent meteorologists saw thermometers reach a record-breaking -11C.

“We are going to see some high pressure on Monday that brings some widespread frosts and it is definitely going to feel colder again. The early part of next week also looks like seeing some snow showers.” Sarah Holland of the Met Office told The Daily Express.
