Scotch egg hunt
If you’re more a savoury than a sweet type, don’t despair of Easter – London’s ETM group of pubs has devised a Scotch egg hunt for those more prone to pork-and-crumb-wrapped eggy goodness.
Follow a treasure map complete with clues to discover eggs hidden at their pubs across the city and you can win prizes including 50 per cent off your food bill, a free glass of champagne or a complimentary Scotch egg (wowzers). On until April 7, more deets online.
Beans in the bog
What the hell is it with food and drink venues setting themselves up in toilets? Is this supposed to be appetising?
Hot on the heels of Broadway Market’s Portside Parlour (hidden behind a dunny door), Attendant is a new coffee shop located inside a former public urinal, where you’re seated by ye olde porcelain bowls while you drink up trendy Caravan coffee. Er, what?
Free booze and moves
Fancy a free cocktail and a chance to improve your dance moves? Why on earth would you say no?
Latin Tuesdays have now launched at Aprés in Marylebone, where the cocktail lounge offers up a complimentary mojito and free salsa classes for beginners and intermediates. You can also bag up to 35 per cent off all drinks and food between 5pm and 9pm on the night.
Check out the web for class times and stick around after your lesson for DJ Anabel spinning the best in salsa and merengue. Hot!
