Words like “bloggable”, “clickjacking”, “cyberbullying”, “cybersecurity” and “scareware” are the latest contributions to make it into the Oxford Dictionaries Online.

Mobile phoneisms have also made it into the dictionary, such as “feature phone”, “sexting” and “tbh”.

Other latest words to be added include “gastric band”, “light bulb moment”, “rumour mill” and “tanorexis”.

Spokeswoman Gabby Fletcher said: “The rapid development of technology creates multiple new products, services, and functionalities, which all need new terms to describe them. We are also seeing the very fast circulation of new vocabulary on a global basis, with the expansion of social media.”
