Getting There
Air
There are plenty of flights from the UK and Europe into Bordeaux. The airport is 10km west of the city and a bus, operated by Jet’Bus takes 45 minutes. If you’d rather catch a cab expect to fork out €20 or so.
Train
Bordeaux is a major hub for rail. The station is just 3km from the city centre and many of the city’s trams terminate there. Paris is just three hours away and Toulouse is two-and-a-half hours by train.
Getting Around
Tram
The city’s trams are a great way to get around in Bordeaux. They run every 10 minutes and you buy a ticket at the stop, then validate it on board.
Bus
The No. 1 bus runs from the train station along the waterfront. Bus tickets are sold onboard. Night buses run on weekends.
