Botswana in 2-3 days
If it’s one of the conservation areas you fancy, book well in advance and make sure you have access to the right vehicle to take you to those remote areas that will make for a welcome break from city life. Pack the necessary camping and hiking equipment if you want to avoid staying in expensive luxury lodges.
Those who are happy with the bare essentials can enjoy a ‘great escape’ into nature in just three days. Keep in mind that getting to your campsite could take the better part of a day.

Tackle a real African self-drive safari. Several companies stand ready all year round to hire out vehicles and equipment for self drive-drive safaris from Maun, which is closely situated to Botswana’s pristine game parks and nature reserves.
Although all of these companies have tailor-made itineraries, you can design your own with a small amount of research and advanced bookings. Look at camping two to three days at Xakanaxa and/or Khwai campsites in the Moremi Game Reserve followed by two to three days each in the Savute and Ihaha campsites in the Chobe National Park. The Makgadikgadi National Park and Nxai Pan National Park also offer safe and adequate camping facilities with wonderful game viewing opportunities.
