Police tracked down the crocodile and killed it, and then found two hands, two legs and a hip bone inside of it. The child’s head was discovered nearby.

Police commander Lincoln Gerari, speaking to Papua New Guinea’s National newspaper, confirmed that the crocodile had attacked the boy.

“The crocodile swept the boy with its tail, and then attacked the defenceless child,” he said.

According to information compiled by Charles Darwin University in Australia, this is the second crocodile attack to take place in the country this year.
