Abberton, 39, of the notorious Sydney-based Bra Boy gang has failed to show up at court for a fifth time on two charges of assaulting a police officer occasioning actual bodily harm and one count of resisting police.
The charges are in connection to a March 3 incident when he went beserk in the police station, ripping a phone from a wall and attempting to tear a CCTV monitor off its brackets, News Limited reports.
Abberton’s failure to show in court led magistrate Jeff Linden to issue a warrant for his arrest.
Abberton, who was once a professional surfer, was fined $450 (£297) and ordered to pay $83 (£55) in court costs.
In 2005 Abberton was acquitted of the 2003 murder of stand-over man Anthony ‘Tony’ Hines, and in 2007 his life was the subject of documentary, Bra Boys: Blood is Thicker Than Water, narrated by Russell Crowe.
