According to newspaper reports on the Carribbean island, the unnamed victim was attacked yesterday.
Barbados Today reported that the victim was involved in a fight with a local man in St Lawrence Gap, Christ Church, yesterday afternoon.
He was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Bridgetown, but later died from his injuries.
A Foreign and Commonwealth Office spokesman said: “We are aware of the death of a British national in Barbados on June 15.
“We are providing consular assistance to the family at this sad time.”
