According to the Daily Star, giant super-rats that could become as big as cows are spreading across Britain at an “alarming” rate.
The paper quoted Dr Jan Zalasiewicz, a scientist at Leicester University, who said: “Given enough time, rats could probably grow to be at least as large as the capybara, the world’s largest rodent, that lives today, that can reach 80 kilos.”
Capybara? That isn’t a cow?!?
Regardless, the story continued on, explaining that families in ‘Kent, Liverpool and other parts of the country have already reported rats as big as cats and foxes’.
Worst of all, as reported by Metro yesterday, they’re 100% resistant to traditional poison.
Giant rats that can’t die. Brilliant. We need the A-Team…
