Most people (76%) participating in the survey felt that they don’t have time to do all the things they want to, while just under a quarter (24%) thought they had enough time to do everything they wanted to.

Commissioned by comparison website, Gocompare.com, the survey also asked respondents about the things that they would like to do more of – but feel that they don’t have time for. Hobbies (34%), travelling (33%) and just relaxing (32%) topped the list followed by seeing friends or relatives (28%) and keeping fit (25%). Gardening (15%), DIY (13%) and housework (11%) were at the bottom of the list.

When asked why people didn’t feel they had enough time to do everything they wanted to, the survey revealed that 35% just simply didn’t know ‘where the time goes’, a quarter are too busy looking after their family and home, 22% have to work long hours to afford to live and 18% said that they already pack a lot into their spare time.
