Well, we say Neil young, it was in fact SNL host Jimmy Fallon, doing an ace impression of the Rocking in the Free World star.
Fallan appears first as Young, complete with harmonica for a rousing, folk-infused rendition of the pop song. The Boss then struts on in his Born in the USA outfit of sleeveless denim jacket and red bandana singing, “I’m in a speedo and I’m trying to tan my cheeks.”
This tongue in , err cheek, performance is a far cry from the direct call to arms politically driven polemic of Springsteen’s 17th album Wrecking Ball, which is out today.
