Getting There

Air

The closest airport to Bruges is in Brussels. A train service is available from Brussels to Bruges.

Train

Belgium is well-connected by a superb train system linking all of the major town and cities. If you are coming from London, catch the Eurostar to Brussels where you can catch a train which takes about an hour to Bruges.

Ferry

A ferry service runs between Hull in the UK to the Belgian port of Zeebrugge. The journey takes around 11 hours. There is a frequent train service that runs from Zeebrugge to Bruges and takes around 15 minutes.

Getting Around

The best way to see Bruges is on foot. It’s easy to get around this way and most of the sites are all in close walking distance to one another and a bus service runs to suburban areas. If you want to head outside of the city, the train service is excellent.
