The pop-up will include a Caipirinha bar, a dedicated Olympic-themed cocktail menu, POPS frozen Bellinis, a Brazilian-inspired food menu and Samba dancers.
Cocobananas will host an official Olympics opening ceremony party on Friday 5 August as well as a closing ceremony on Sunday 21 August with a Brazilian-inspired supper club hosted by Natalie Salmon aka The Latina Cook.
In the spirit of embracing all things Brazilian, Natalie together with Bunga Bunga’s head chef, Alexis de Naray, have created a colourful that will transport guests all the way to exotic Brazil.
Kicking off the dinner with traditional South American fare, guests will enjoy Brazilian pastels, filled with ground meat, mozzarella, heart of palm and chicken, Coxinha (savoury crispy chicken balls) and grilled Chicken heart skewers, marinated in fresh herbs. Mains, meanwhile, will include Brazil’s national dish, Feijoada ( a hearty stew made with beans, beef and pork), Vegetarian Brazilian pizza and Fresh fish ceviche plus good tasting sides such as kale and mango salad, polenta chips and truffle casava chips.
Of course no Brazilian feast would be complete without dessert: expect the creamy truffle delight that is Brigaderios, Acai Bowls with tropical fresh fruit and homemade Avocado ice cream gondolas.
The Cocobananas Olympic pop-up will be decked out with the flags of Brazil, palm trees, banana leaves, beach balls, exotic flowers and colourful lounge chairs, making it the ultimate Brazilian Players Lounge. There will also be a large medal count board displayed on the wall that will keep a running tab on how many golds, silvers and bronzes have been bagged by the Brazilians. Guests can jam out to karaoke in the L’Osservatorio and all of the servers and bar staff will be wearing Brazilian jerseys with pride during the course of the games and will fly the official flag of Brazil after each victory. Elsewhere guests will receive blue, green and yellow confetti cannons to fire off in support of Team Brazil!
All that remains to be said is… let the games begin!
