Christina Aguilera is surprisingly good as a small-town girl who goes from waitress to sexy stage star at a burlesque club run by Cher in Steve Antin’s gloriously cheesy film, Burlesque. The characters are under-written and the plot hackneyed but the brilliant musical numbers belted out by Aguilera make this worth a look and listen.
