The driver of the car was killed in the accident and a front row passenger on the bus was critically injured.
Two other men in the back were in a serious but stable condition.
The three passengers, in their mid-20s, have been taken to the Royal London Hospital for treatment for head and arm injuries. Ten other passengers on the bus were also harmed.
The London Ambulance Service stated: “We sent an advanced paramedic, two responders by car, seven ambulance crews, our hazardous area response team, a medical team from London’s Air Ambulance by car and four officers to the scene.”
