Creepy crawlies and the like making their way on to your plate – not as an accident when you weren’t looking, but as part of some crazed chef’s mad idea – has been all over London this year. Pan-Asian restaurant Gilgamesh is getting in on the action and has launched its own menu – inspired by I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here.

You can sample the likes of battered bugs (scorpion and ant tempura) or fish-a-licious (Chinese fish head and eyeball soup) or a brain burger (meaty pig brain served up in a bun with relish and salad garnish). Like the sound of that? You can even pit yourself against the bitter sweet dessert, which sounds lovely but is actually made of Asian vomit fruit sorbets including the infamous durain fruit.
