As over 17,000 Facebook fans rally behind the bid to nominate Bournemouth man Gordon Roberts as the 2012 Olympic Torch finally fans can show their support by buying a t-shirt, with profits going to homeless charities in the seaside town.
With the slogan 'What Time Is It? Olympic Torch Time!' emblazed across the back of the shirt, the Gordon fans declare their dedication to supporting Gordon as their man for the 2012 Olympic Torch ceremony.
Roberts is a familiar face in the town and often chats to clubbers in the queues outside nightclubs at the popular south coast resort. He's also a regular at AFC Bournemouth football club, where, as an honorary fan, he gets free entry.
'Tramp' Gordon Roberts for Olympic torch bearer – Facebook campaign
As reported in TNT previously, Jade Reynolds, 21, and Looby Ratcliffe, 20, are behind the “Gordon Roberts for Bournemouth's Olympic Torch Bearer” campaign.
Reynolds told the Daily Mail: “Gordon is just the nicest, most genuine man you could ever hope to meet.
“He's a great person – he's always got a happy word to say and everyone loves seeing him. So when we saw an advert for local heroes to carry the Olympic torch, he was the first person who came to mind.”
Ratcliffe added: “People like us have grown up with him – he's a big part of the community and always stops to chat to people.
“We'd love to see a local hero carrying the Olympic torch and doing us proud.”
