The bees caused chaos when their queen chose to settle on the window of the shop, and a large section of the pavement was closed to make sure that people didn’t disturb the swarm like the poor young lady in the brown jacket.

However, help was at hand in the form of trained beekeeper Tony Mann, who calmed the situation down and led people being harassed by the bees to safety.

As reported in Metro, Mr Mann took control of the bees and confirmed that they would not be harmed.

“We are going to smoke them into a box and encourage them to stay there and we will remove them later today,” he said to those watching the un-bee-lievable drama unfold.

According to the Independent, the colony was later moved to Westminster Cathedral, where beekeepers will take care of them.
