Even though Kapp, 73, and wrestling legend, Mosca, 74, are in their seventies, they thought nothing of settling an old score, with
Kapp taking a swipe at former defensive lineman Mosca after his flower peace offering was batted away.
Mosca then lashed out with is crutch, smashing his rival’s glasses off his face.
The men then lunged at each other and exchanged blows, one of which knocked Mosca to the floor in front of stunned onlookers
at the luncheon in Vancouver on Saturday.
The pair are believed to hold an old grudge dating back 48 years following a 1963 Grey Cup game in which Mosca knocked out a roommate of Kapp’s, Willie Fleming.
Understandably, guests at the Canadian Football League ceremony were left gobsmacked by the whole scene.
Fellow guests helped Mosca to his feet while Kapp stood on stage and ranted about his opponent.
Kapp controversially claimed to owning a dog called Angelo that he “kicks the s*** out of everyday”.
The YouTube clip has already been viewed more than 170,000 times, though cynics suggest the incident was staged.
One viewer wrote: “Staged. The whole thing. Staged. Angelo Mosca was also a pro wrestler. He has a book coming out in a few days.”
