Chapter Arts
Just outside of Cardiff City Centre lies Chapter Arts. A heartbeat of creativity in Cardiff for over 40 years, it describes itself as an “ambitious, multi-artform venue that presents, produces and promotes international art, live performance and film alongside a dynamic social space”.  Voted one of the best places to drink in the UK four times by Observer Food Monthly Magazine, it boasts a busy open-plan bar and restaurant serving anything from Eggs benedict in the morning to pizza at night. Chapter is where the creative types hang out to grab a pint of Belgian beer and listen to live music before settling down at the in-house cinema to watch something you won’t find showing at Odeon. www.chapter.org

Jacobs Market Rooftop Cinema
Jacobs Market is a converted warehouse that has been transformed into an Aladdin’s cave for items such as vintage clothing, furniture, records, army surplus and comics. With over 30 stalls under one roof this is the place to visit to while away hours in the heart of the city and amongst the treasures and trinkets are a collective of eccentric sellers and stories to tell.
In summer months Jacobs Market plays host to Motley Movies, Cardiff’s first rooftop cinema showing open air screenings of cult films right in the centre of Cardiff. A summer’s evening can be spent up on the roof with a great atmosphere, garden bar and pop-up restaurant. www.jacobsmarket.co.uk
