My job involves… designing and implementing gardens to the highest standards. This could involve any type of garden, from small terraces to large country estates. I take a very hands-on on approach to transforming gardens, which I’ve done for over ten years.
My day-to-day work includes… liaising with clients, suppliers, nurseries and craftsmen to produce bespoke solutions for gardens.
I got my job by… pursuing my love for gardening, which I have done since I could walk.
The most rewarding part of my job is… seeing a completed project and a happy client.
The most challenging part of my job is… coordinating trades and managing timelines, which we can slip behind on when it comes to complex projects, unless a watchful eye is kept on them.
My advice for anyone looking to get into this industry is… know your plants and listen to your clients – failing on both counts can land you in very deep water indeed.
