The life and crimes of 1970s terrorist Ilich Ramirez Sanchez (aka Carlos The Jackal) are brilliantly brought to the big screen by Olivier Assayas in a shortened version of his television series. Naturally,
it feels a bit rushed and the ending doesn’t match the build-up but this is still a fascinating biopic.
