Cheryl Cole could host Channel Five’s new Big Brother show after bosses of the reality series apparently said they want the Geordie songstress for the programme.
A show source told Daily Star: “It really is true. Big Brother looks certain to return… bigger, brighter and more shocking than ever before.”
“As part of that deal we want to get a really big name involved as the host and they don’t come any bigger than Cheryl.”
This could mean that Cheryl Cole, who is said to be fed up with waiting for Simon Cowell and the Fox team to announce their chosen judges for the US version of X Factor, instead could stay in the UK.

“Simon has teased everyone, including Cheryl, by delaying his announcement about the judges,” said one show source.
“It is now being delayed until the end of April. It would serve him right if Cheryl got fed up.”
Although Cheryl Cole is said to have been keen to take on a judging role on US X Factor, the producers of the revamped reality series of Big Bro is apparently adamant to win her over.
And rumours has it that they are offering Cheryl Cole a £5million deal for the hosting job.
The Star’s source said: “We’re confident she can be tempted away from Simon with the offer of fronting the most talked-about show of the year. There is going to be a real buzz around Big Brother and we’re confident she will want to be a part of that deal.”
