Cheryl Cole has returned to LA – the scene of her sensational sacking from the US X Factor – to work on her new album.
The 28-year-old parachute singer flew into LAX airport with close pal and Girls Aloud bandmate Kimberley Walsh offering her support.
Cheryl will record tracks at the famous studio under the Sunset Marquis Hotel – where Cyndi Lauper, Chaka Khan, Sheryl Crow and Madonna have all worked.
A source told The Sun: “Cheryl has loved working at the studios. Some of the female singers that have worked there before are her all-time heroes.
“It’s been the perfect place for Cheryl to plunge head-first back into work again.”

Cheryl dropped from US X Factor
Cole arrived in LA sporting, jeans and a cream Mongolian lamb gilet with her usual over-sized sunglasses. Kimberley was dressed in a floral jumpsuit, a beige jacket and, of course, some dark shades.
The pair were met by scores of paparazzi photographers, but Cheryl wore a brave smile. And she had every reason to, because her court order banning paparazzi from using extreme tactics to harass her was extended.
Cheryl is also rumoured to be appearing as a judge on the new BBC show, The Voice after she returns to the UK.
